Materials Manager (Automotive)

Title: Materials Manager

Location: North Baltimore, OH

We are a leading tier one automotive manufacturing company. We've been around for over 50 years and we have a global presence!

Job Duties

• You will be responsible for the continued management of our materials department -- material planning, material management, inventory control, scheduling, purchasing, procurement, storage and distribution of material, sales forecasts, finished goods inventory, raw materials budgets, etc.
• Be able to identity and implement continuous improvement initiatives in material planning
• Management responsibilities include managing department expenses, increasing productivity, and ensure superb customer service
• Work closely with management to determine production plans/ financial forecasts
• Create and implement inventory management systems on the production floor
• Hold team members accountable for meeting target goals by leveraging KPI metrics
• This role will have 7 direct reports and 5 additional reports (2 cycle counters and 3 shipping clerks)
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of materials management/ inventory management experience within a Manufacturing environment
• Automotive experience is desired
• You should be familiar with most of the following:
• Working with complex reporting tools
• Materials Procurement/ Buying Materials/ Material Management
• Supply Chain Logistics
