The ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned expert in learning and development, bringing deep experience in leadership development. They possess a strategic mindset and a sense of urgency to pilot, iterate, and scale innovative leadership programs. Exceptional at detail-oriented collaboration, especially using our Asana product, they combine creativity with a human-centered approach to development. This individual excels in co-creating and rapidly iterating on learning strategies, navigating ambiguity with confidence, and taking full ownership of their results. In this role, you'll report to the Head of Learning and Development and collaborate closely with our People team, education partners, and leadership community across Asana.


This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What You’ll Achieve

  • Collaborate with SMEs, partners, and vendors to design, implement, optimize, and evaluate comprehensive learning initiatives that support our Leadership Development strategy.
  • Co-create and oversee detailed project plans employing a systems-thinking approach to develop multi-modal learning solutions for leaders and managers.
  • Facilitate engaging and impactful learning sessions, ensuring active participation and alignment with leadership development goals.
  • Establish and execute a learning measurement framework for leaders to gauge program effectiveness, providing standardized reporting and actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to optimize and standardize leadership development programs globally, ensuring they meet business needs and support hybrid working models.
  • Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive leadership development initiatives, creating targeted communication strategies, go-to-market plans, and change management tactics that address business requirements effectively.
  • Develop and implement consistent operational protocols for leadership programs, ensuring clarity, compliance, and seamless execution across all cross-functional partners.


About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in learning and development, with significant expertise in leadership development and enablement programs.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and scaling large-scale leadership development initiatives globally.
  • Strategic thinking and leadership abilities, capable of shaping and driving the learning and development vision at a senior level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with SMEs, senior leaders, partners, and vendors.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional facilitation skills, with a history of leading high-impact learning sessions for diverse audiences.
  • Extensive experience with project management tools, especially Asana, for complex planning and progress tracking. What We’ll Offer


Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.


For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $164,000 - $208,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.


In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
