Job Opportunity: Import Manager (with Export Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all import operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with overseas agents, customers, and customs authorities to ensure smooth import processes.
• Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Monitor and track shipments, addressing any issues or delays to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer service, and warehouse staff, to streamline operations and enhance service quality.
• Conduct regular audits of import procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with export operations, preparing export documentation and ensuring compliance with export regulations.
• Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
• Resolve any import/export-related issues, providing prompt and effective solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of import/export activities for reporting and compliance purposes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in import management, with some experience in export operations.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems (e.g., CargoWise, SAP).
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and challenging situations.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
