Job Details

Responsibilities

As the Director of Water Resources, you will be responsible for the following

• Overseeing and managing all aspects of water resource projects, including stormwater, sewer, grading, and wastewater.
• Developing and implementing project plans with project managers, including design, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Coordinating with various teams to ensure that all aspects of the project are in alignment and progressing as planned.
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential project issues.
• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding water resource management.
• Providing technical guidance and support to the project team, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
• Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure that project goals and objectives are met.
• Continuously monitoring and reviewing project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Water Resources Director position will possess the following qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in water resource management, specifically with stormwater, sewer, grading, and wastewater.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as AutoCAD, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.
• A thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding water resource management.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest industry trends and best practices.
