Conference Producer

Conference Producer, based in Akron, Ohio (Hybrid)

The Role

We are looking for a bright and ambitious individual to work as a Conference Producer in our industry leading events business. This is an impactful, action-packed role that requires someone who is influential and can think on their feet.

Some Of Your Duties Will Include

• Devising high quality conferences (both live and virtual) by researching and testing ideas and identifying good commercial opportunities
• Desk and phone research to identify market trends, hot topics and conference opportunities
• Conveying compelling new ideas to senior decision makers
• Acquiring senior level speakers from leading industry companies to give presentations at live and virtual conferences
• Collaborating with sales and marketing to ensure good lists, support and copy is produced for all events
• Be responsible for and “own” the commercial performance of your portfolio of events
• Attend events and run them on the event day
• To work with the event team to ensure cost effective and high-quality running of conference, with costs maintained within or below budget.
  
  

The Person

In the Conference Producer role we require the following skills and experience:

• Self-motivated and deadline driven
• Persuasive and influential in conveying and articulating complex concepts
• Highly inquisitive approach to research and analysis
• Strong commercial acumen to identify compelling topics, themes and speakers
• Educated to degree level in related field
• Excellent communication and numeracy skills
• Must be able to work as part of a cross functional team
• Experience in either B2B commercial conferences, Research, Marketing or writing is essential
• Experience of managing projects to deadlines and to a budget.
• Ability to regularly travel in Americas
