The Role: As the Digital Lead for Website Management, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the university’s websites. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Digital and Performance Marketing, you will collaborate with various teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Website Development:
  • Enhance user experience and design user journeys to boost engagement and conversion rates.
  • Develop deliverables such as landing pages, information architecture, and templates.
  • Ensure cohesive integration with other campuses within the Global Campus Network, maintaining compliance with UK regulations.
  • Maintenance:
  • Manage and update web pages and campaign landing pages via WordPress.
  • Maintain and update widgets, APIs, webforms, third-party integrations, and online files.
  • Enhance on-page and off-page SEO, identifying performance gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee website domains and servers, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve website issues, coordinating with agencies or internal resources.
  • Reporting and Insights:
  • Generate advanced reports to inform strategic decisions and measure marketing performance.
  • Implement a framework for measuring SEO performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and developments relevant to the role.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Occasional national and international travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
  • Perform other duties as required by the role.


About You:

  • Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of CMS architectures, HTML, CSS, and scripting. [Essential]
  • Proficient in WordPress and website management. [Essential]
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO, including audits and keyword research. [Essential]
  • Training in UX and design. [Desirable]
  • Knowledge of accessibility and regulatory issues. [Desirable]
  • Awareness of the UK higher education regulatory environment. [Desirable]
  • An undergraduate degree or experience in higher education. [Desirable]
  • Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience managing a successful commercial website. [Essential]
  • Skilled with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Console. [Essential]
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. [Essential]
  • Experience with SEO tools like MOZ, SEM RUSH, and Screaming Frog. [Essential]
  • Adaptable and problem-solving mindset. [Essential]
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills. [Essential]
  • Experience working with agencies to deliver projects on time and within budget. [Essential]
  • Experience using Tableau. [Desirable]
  • Experience leading projects with diverse stakeholders. [Desirable]
  • Experience managing websites for varied product lines and target audiences. [Desirable]
  • Experience working with North American colleagues or clients. [Desirable]
