Position Summary

This position is responsible for the overall administration of the Psychological Services Unit (PSU) at the Stanley Correctional Institution.

The incumbent will develop, administer, and coordinate the Psychological Services Unit program; supervise the psychological staff; provide direct service to offenders; provide consultation to institution administration and staff; provide clinical and behavioral training; administer the clinical program to provide support services and ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines and program standards.

This employee may be required to provide services to the Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility.

Salary Information

This position is in pay schedule and range 81-02 with a starting pay of $50.83/hour - $55.16/hour.

(Minimum effective annual salary including the two add-ons below would be: $130728/year.)

Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A two-year Career Executive trial period will be required, or for those with permanent status as a Career Executive, a twelve-month probationary period may be required instead.

Additional Pay

Employees in possession of a Doctorate of Psychology (or equivalent) may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $6.00 per hour.

Employees in possession of a permanent License to practice Psychology may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $5.00 per hour.

Job Details

This position is not eligible for remote work. Anticipated schedule will be day-time hours Monday – Friday. Specifics can be discussed at time of interview. This position is FLSA Exempt. This position may occasionally provide services at Chippewa Valley Correctional Treatment Facility.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

Applicants must possess current Wisconsin licensure as a Psychologist and maintain licensure during employment.
