Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery:
Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating English lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students can develop their literacy skills effectively (phonics, reading comprehension, writing fluency, grammar, vocabulary acquisition).
Assessment and Evaluation:
Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress in reading, writing, speaking and listening skills (formative and summative assessments).
Provide students with clear, constructive feedback that helps them improve their writing, reading, and analytical skills (written feedback, peer review, self-assessment).
