Based in Dumfries, Southwest Scotland, Gates (U.K.) Ltd is a major international company specialising in the production of power transmission belts for the automotive and industrial markets. Our continuing success has resulted in this exciting opportunity based in our Dumfries Plant.
What To Expect
As an innovation leader, we are looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individual to join our team, working full-time from our Dumfries office. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth implementation of the SAP S/4 Hana ERP system across the region and will provide continuous support for our shop floor systems.
Reporting to the IT Systems & Services Program Manager. Ideal candidates will be instrumental in taking hands-on approach in the maintenance and optimization of key hardware and software within our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support a variety of Manufacturing IT and OT hardware and software applications.
Ensure seamless operation of applications including MES, QMS, CMMS, SCADA, among others.
Oversee and assist with technology stacks including Wonderware/Aveva Intouch/Historian, Microsoft as well as SAP Manufacturing, SAP PM, SAP QM.
Provide support for the SAP S/4 Hana project team.
About You
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
Recent graduates with relevant degrees or individuals with up to 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing IT/OT support setting.
Required Skills
A solid foundation in industrial/manufacturing systems, especially Wonderware/Aveva and Microsoft technologies including SQL Databases
Keen understanding of IT/OT Manufacturing applications, including SAP Manufacturing systems.
Good knowledge of manufacturing operations and processes.
