Accounts Administrator Required In Swindon.

  • Starting salary negotiable pending experience.
  • Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with a half hour unpaid lunch.
  • Opportunity to work with a family-run business operating for over 33 years employing over 100 members of staff.

Our client, an automotive commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple centres across Southern England, are currently recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to join their head office in Swindon.

Reporting to the Head Office Accounts Manager and work as part of a small friendly accounts/administration team from our client's head office in Swindon, you will have accounts duties for our client's Swindon and Exeter centres where you will ensure financial controls are maintained through effective processing and reconciling of high volumes of supplier invoices.

Your Key Responsibilities As a Accounts Administrator Will Include

  • Ensuring invoices are correctly processed.
  • Processing invoices onto the Purchase Ledger Dynamics system.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Liaise with relevant department and supplier on discrepancies.
  • Ensuring bank details for suppliers are verified and updated.
  • Ensuring procedures for new supplier account creation are followed.
  • Monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Petty Cash.
  • Assist with Sales Ledger.
  • Posting sales remittances.
  • Sorting bank payments.
  • Outlook mailbox processing.
  • Maintain stationery supplies.
  • Vehicle MOT/Tax administration.
  • Monthly staff annual leave and absence Summary to MD.
  • Assist with staff inductions.
  • H&S and Compliance filing.

What are our client looking for? You must have proven experience in a similar accounts orientated role and overall have enthusiasm and a dynamic personality and will share our client's energy and passion and contribute to their ongoing success. You will have an excellent attention to detail, be able to stay calm under pressure, prioritise your workload, have the ability to follow instructions/procedures, be IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word and Outlook) and have good communication skills. Previous experience working in the automotive industry/with commercial vehicles or a relevant accountancy qualification would be highly beneficial however this is non-essential.
