Overview

The New Truck Sales Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing a team dedicated to the coordination of sales operations and the administration of grants and incentives programs within the heavy-duty truck industry. This role requires a strategic leader with strong supervisory skills to ensure efficient and effective operations, compliance with program requirements, and exceptional support for sales initiatives.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Directly manage and lead the New Truck Sales administrative team, providing clear direction, support, and mentorship to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the administrative staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring they are well-equipped to handle their responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback and setting actionable goals to drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy.

Sales Operations Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of sales administrative operations, including scheduling, accounts payable and receivable, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and collaboration within the team and with other departments to support overall sales operations.
  • Address and resolve any operational issues or challenges, proactively implementing solutions to maintain a smooth workflow and high levels of productivity.

Grants and Incentives Management:

  • Supervise and lead a dedicated team responsible for researching, evaluating, and implementing grants and incentives programs tailored to the heavy-duty truck industry, ensuring these initiatives effectively maximize opportunities for sales growth.
  • Develop and oversee compliance strategies, ensuring the team adheres to program requirements and deadlines, maintaining meticulous documentation and reporting procedures.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to team members in their interactions with customers regarding available grants and incentives, helping them to provide expert advice and optimize benefits for clients.
  • Facilitate and manage the Request for Proposals (RFPs) process, acting as the primary supervisor and liaison with other stakeholders, ensuring the team aligns with grant requirements and optimizes opportunities for successful bids.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the team’s processes and strategies for managing grants and incentives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans that support sales growth and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the team remains current and competitive in their approach to sales operations and grants management.

Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales operations management, preferably within the heavy-duty truck dealership industry.
  • Deep understanding of Volvo and Mack products, as well as the competitive landscape of the heavy-duty truck market.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and CRM systems, coupled with a keen analytical mindset.
  • Experience within the heavy-duty truck industry is highly advantageous, particularly in sales operations or related roles.
  • Experience in grants and incentives management is highly advantageous.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $86,198 to $107,748.
