Five Star Equipment, Northern PA and New York States John Deere Construction Equipment Dealer has an immediate opening in our Orchard Park (Buffalo, NY) location.

Role Overview

As a Rental Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the rental operations within our construction rental company. Your primary responsibility will be managing the rental process for construction equipment and machinery. You will ensure efficient operations, maintain strong client relationships, and uphold safety standards.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES May Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Equipment Rental Management:
    • Coordinate equipment rentals, including scheduling, delivery, and returns.
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of available equipment.
    • Oversee timely maintenance and repairs of rental items.
    • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate rental terms and pricing.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Assist clients in selecting suitable equipment for their projects.
    • Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Manage rental agreements, contracts, and billing processes.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Monitor rental utilization rates and optimize equipment availability.
    • Track rental revenue and expenses.
    • Implement efficient rental procedures and workflows.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of rental equipment to maintain safety standards.
    • Address safety concerns promptly.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with project managers, field staff, and maintenance teams.
    • Coordinate equipment needs for ongoing construction projects.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
    • Participates in classroom or on-line company or John Deere training as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience in equipment rental management within the construction industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and diligence.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment, tools, and machinery.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance.

  • Proficiency in rental software and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to analyze rental data and make informed decisions.
