Pediatric Physician Opportunity in Beautiful Western, NC
UNC Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. Caldwell Physicians provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations and 137 bed hospital. Caldwell is seeking a BE/BC Pediatrician for a position in a traditional outpatient/inpatient model with a team of experienced partners.

Practice Highlights
Collaborative team of 5 physicians and 4 APPs
Busy mature practice needs one physician in a replacement role. Limited general inpatient pediatric admissions from the ED, typically less than 15 admissions in a year.
Clinic volume - 4 days a week, average of 18 patients a day. Mix of newborns, children and adolescents. Well checks and acute visits, including mental health. Onsite dietician. Phlebotomist with lab with POCT tests and CBC machine, x-ray available in building most days.
Call of 1 in 6- Call includes ED/UC calls, inpatient pediatrics and back up triage calls for Mulberry and Falls patients (after nurse triage screens first). Typically less than 10 calls in a week, some nights with no calls.
Caldwell UNC also offers a dedicated Pediatric Urgent Care, the only one in the region. It is located in an Upper Suite at The Falls Pediatrics, open seven days per week with a dedicated staff.
