Job Title: Mechanical Technician II

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs a variety of service work in one or more specialized building systems such as mechanical, electrical / electronic, HVAC/R and their related control systems and equipment in multipurpose office building.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision.
  • Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work.
  • Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
  • Requisitions new supplies and equipment.
  • Computer skills including Word, Excel, the building CMMS and BAS systems.
  • Candidate must be able to report to work daily overtime, and required weekends in an emergency

Qualifications:

  • Team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a history of safe work practices and training.
  • Universal Refrigerant EPA Certification desired.
  • BAS & CMMS experience desired.
  • Must possess knowledge of commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Must possess basic HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Systems and computer skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Management, our customers, contractors and co-workers.
  • Must have a willingness to learn new skills and assist co-workers
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and mechanical diagrams.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
