Information Technician Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist assists Greater Portland Health (GPH) employees in navigating information and communication systems and monitoring such systems. This person assists users by answering questions and coordinating resolutions to computer and phone hardware and software. The IT Support Specialist sets up and onboards new users and supports existing users within the organization, including thorough instruction on use of technology. This person acts as the organization’s liaison between staff and technology vendors, including the managed service provider (MSP).

• Two (2) years' experience in Information Technology support; in a healthcare setting, preferred.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) required; NextGen experience is highly desired.
• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
