About the Role: Department: Finance Reports to: Chief Financial Officer

Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic Finance Controller who will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, adherence to regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled financial professional with a strong background in accounting, compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide insights to senior management. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparation, consolidation, and review. Develop and maintain financial forecasts to guide business planning. Monitor budget performance and analyze variances, providing actionable recommendations. Internal Controls and Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations. Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, including the preparation of necessary documentation. Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed. Manage treasury functions, including cash management, investments, and financing activities. Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity. Financial Operations: Oversee the accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger. Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices in financial management and accounting processes. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in regulations. Strategic Support: Partner with the CFO and senior management to develop and implement financial strategies. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability. Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with organizational goals Requirements & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or managerial position. Experience in a multinational company or a large local enterprise is preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations. Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Advanced MS Excel skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team. Strategic thinking and business acumen Languages: Fluency in English is required. Work Environment: The role is primarily office-based in New York, NY, with occasional travel as required.
