The Atlantic Group has partnered with a reputable consulting firm in Boston that is looking for a talented Director of FP&A to join their team!


Hybrid Schedule- **only local candidates will be considered for this role.**

Responsibilities:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will be responsible for developing and managing global FP&A projects, processes, and tools to support the FP&A function. This key role involves communicating financial performance, opportunities, and risks to executive leadership and stakeholders within the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will drive strategic financial planning and provide actionable insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate will have global experience, a proven ability to develop and mentor a high-performing team, and will build strong business partnerships to support strategic decisions with robust analytics.

  • Lead initiatives to identify and implement innovative solutions for growth, decision-making enhancement, and efficiency improvement.
  • Provide financial leadership by analyzing current and future profitability characteristics of business functions.
  • Deliver financial insights and analysis to support strategic decisions, investment evaluations, and resource allocation.
  • Produce and deliver recurring financial reports and analyses for the CFO and executive team.
  • Oversee comprehensive financial analyses, including variance, trend, and scenario modeling, to evaluate business performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Continuously improve financial planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Create complex financial models for strategic projects, offering support and challenge to project sponsors throughout implementation and ongoing measurement.


Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant financial leadership experience, with a proven track record of driving financial strategy, innovation, and disciplined execution; experience in professional services is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a rigorous decision-making approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in talent management, including team development, mentoring, and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Strategic thinker capable of providing forward-looking analysis and recommendations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across functions and influence decision-making at all organizational levels.
