We are looking for a Mobile Crisis Care Counselor- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) who exemplifies that mission, and who wants to work for an organization that makes a difference. What will you be doing?
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and suicide risk assessment to callers in crisis via phone through AID’s 24/7 crisis line.
Manage and assess incoming Mobile Crisis referrals from 988, local police departments, and other community services via phone through AID’s 24/7 crisis line.
Provide in person Mobile Crisis Response anywhere in Kendall and Southern Kane County when a person is experiencing a mental health crisis that cannot be de-escalated over the phone.
Complete in person assessments to determine suicide risk, level of care need, and access to supports. Work collaboratively with a Recovery Support Specialist and the person in crisis to complete a safety plan.
Collaborate with a team of service providers within AID and throughout the social service community to ensure that all client’s needs are being met to promote and maintain community stabilization.
Maintain documentation required for crisis intervention services provided on the phone and in the community.
What will you bring to the table?
Master’s degree in human services field (required)
Experience working in social services
A valid Illinois driver’s license and automobile insurance

Navigation of stairs
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Ability to provide services in a client’s home
Flexibility to work evenings/overnight/weekend/rotating holidays
Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
The use of your personal vehicle or agency vehicles to transport clients
Maintaining required certifications and other relevant trainings
