Role
The role requires you to be responsible for accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and maintaining robust financial controls. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage a third-party bookkeeping team and significantly influence the company's financial strategy. This role offers the chance to build something meaningful and impactful in a company that values innovation and growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage and own a 13-week cash flow report, ensuring financial stability and foresight.
- Utilise expert financial modelling skills to create and maintain comprehensive financial and operational models, including detailed bottom-up financial cohort models.
- Oversee a third-party bookkeeping team to maintain efficient and accurate accounting systems.
- Lead the month-end reporting process, providing a clear and accurate snapshot of the financial standing.
- Prepare compelling investor reports, showcasing financial strength and potential.
- Engage in cross-functional projects to support operational teams and deliver key insights to decision-makers.
- Analyse KPIs such as cash flow, cash conversion cycle, LTV, retention/churn, and more to contribute to informed decision-making.
- Improve existing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Possess 4 years of finance experience with a qualified accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of key DTC KPIs.
- Showcase expert financial modelling skills, turning numbers into actionable insights.
- Exhibit excellent attention to detail, with an organised and structured working approach.
- Display strong communication skills, adept at managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Embrace an open mindset, tackling operational challenges with speed and creativity.
- Demonstrate a knack for taking ownership of challenges and processes, driving them to successful outcomes.
- Boast strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated and initiative-taking approach.
- Experience with Xero is preferred but not required, as adaptability and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
