Technical Animator

Beyond Sports is an AI based visualisation company that offers a new way of experiencing sports.

Our unique visualisation platform enables next level real-time sports engagement solutions for leagues, broadcasters, brands and ultimately the consumers, allowing for never seen before sports content and new revenue streams.

Being a company that focuses on visualisation, the work of the 3D artist touches all aspects of our organisation. You should have a deep understanding of a mix of sketching, modeling, texturing, animation and rigging. You are open to constructive criticism and feedback to further increase your knowledge and skills. Knowledge and love for sports is a big plus!

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will work closely with our unity and marketing team to ensure smooth integrations in our client facing applications.

• Analyse and determine if current animation functionalities meet the project’s requirements
• Working closely with Artists and Unity programmers to implement gameplay interactions using animation technology, such as character locomotion
• Implement innovative solutions to feature requests, taking into account performance, maintainability and appropriate resource usage
• Participate in the definition of coding practices and ensure coding standards are followed with regular code reviews
• Demonstrate an understanding of load and feature testing, write test code, and develop test frameworks and processes
• Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art technology and promote its use within the studio
• Integrate large-scale modules or components while minimizing the impact on the rest of the programming team
• Able to be flexible for when animation needs certain functionality such as custom notify’s and curves.

• Experience with real-time networked multiplayer games
• Professional Unreal Engine 4 dev experience
