As a Private Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing private cloud environments as per customer requirements. CSA will play a critical role in assessing RFPs/Business requirements, determining migration strategies, and overseeing the transition to private cloud solutions. Additionally, CSA will collaborate with various teams to ensure the seamless integration of applications and services into the private cloud environment. Key Responsibilities

Private Cloud Design: Design private cloud solutions tailored to the RFPs needs and requirements. Select appropriate technologies, tools, and architectures (Compute, Network, Storage and Backup etc.) to build IaaS and PaaS services with Disaster Recovery for OpenStack, VMware or Nutanix Platforms

Migration Planning: Develop comprehensive migration strategies and roadmaps for moving applications, workloads, and data to the private cloud. Define migration priorities, timelines, and dependencies.

Implementation Support: Support Implementation team in private cloud solution deployment.

Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of the private cloud environment. Implement robust security measures, access controls, and encryption protocols to protect sensitive data and applications.

Integration and Interoperability: Collaborate with application development teams and stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of applications and services with the private cloud environment. Facilitate interoperability and data exchange between on-premises and cloud-based systems.

Automation and Metering: Ability to commercially exploit the private cloud deployment by designing and implementing Automation, metering and billing services

Documentation and Training: Create documentation (Technical Presentations/HLD/LLD), guidelines and best practices for the private cloud environment. Provide training and knowledge transfer to customer/internal teams to enable effective utilization and management of the infrastructure.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to private cloud computing. Continuously evaluate and enhance the private cloud architecture to drive innovation and efficiency. Educational Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology. Developed End-to-End Private Cloud Solution in one or more of these technologies i.e Openstack, VMware, or Nutanix

Proven experience as a cloud architect, with a focus on private cloud solutions and migrations.

Prepare comparison among multiple possible solution components and select best fit option as per the requirement

Determine an optimum migration strategy between Private and Public Clouds

Work with customers to migrate applications to the private cloud

Responded to RFPs/RFIs (preferable Government)

Have hands on experience in preparing overall solution specifications and infrastructure sizing

HLD and LLD document preparation

Provide strong technical leadership in adopting and contributing to private cloud solutions

Proven Ability in solution walkthrough and incorporate received feedback

Have experience in solution handover to Implementation team and follow through Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of any one of Private Cloud Offerings mentioned below:

• OpenStack Projects:
• Nova, Keystone, Compute, Designate, Trove, Sahara, Ceph etc.
  
  

VMware Offerings and Components:

• VCF, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, SRM, vCenter, etc.
  
  

Nutanix Offerings and Components:

• NCP, AHV, AOS, Prism Central etc.
  
  

Extensive experience in conducting Cloud Readiness Assessments for various workloads and observing business / technical perspectives

Proven experience in cloud migration projects, with a focus on physical to virtual and virtual to virtual migrations

Familiarity with migration tools and technologies, including VMware vMotion/HCX, Carbonate, Nutanix Move, AWS Server Migration Service, Azure Migrate, etc

In-depth knowledge of migration to at least one of the private cloud platforms

In-depth knowledge of migration to at least one public Cloud platforms

Exposure to Cloud Automation Suite offered by OpenStack, VMware or Nutanix

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and CI/CD

Certification in any one of the technologies (RedHat OpenStack, VMware, Nutanix Preferred

Knowledge of Cloud best practices and guidelines for application and Database deployment

Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Good understanding of ITSM processes and related tools
