Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time independent contractor for the position of Maintenance Operations Engineer to work for our client in Kitimat, BC. In this role you will be responsible for providing support to the maintenance function, conducting analysis of maintenance requirements, implementing engineering solutions and establishing sustainable maintenance practices.

• Pay Rate: $41.94 - $69.80/ hour
• Location: Kitimat, BC
• Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Makes recommendations for improving the asset life cycle
• Considers cost limitations for equipment up/down time, repair/replacement costs, weight, size, and availability of materials/equipment
• Conducts equipment failure investigation and mitigation
• Provides technical support to a small group of temporarily assigned engineers and technicians

Qualifications:

• Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Engineering background - Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Preference with mining and/or hydraulics knowledge and experience
• SAP proficiency
