Join TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC as a VP, Business Development & Strategy responsible for leading the business development, M&A, and offtake strategy of TERUSA’s onshore activities across the US (solar, onshore wind and battery storage).

What You Will Bring:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related discipline required. Exceptional track-record will be considered in-lieu of a master’s degree.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance, business development, M&A or comparable experience with a proven track record in a utility or for an IPP.
  • Experience managing a team is preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused, commercial management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details.
  • Ability to quickly work into new tasks and accommodate a dynamic environment.
  • English required and French a plus.

Activités

  • Drive the short- and medium-term business strategy of TotalEnergies Renewables USA (TERUSA) for onshore & offshore activities. Identify and implement market penetration strategies and new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, including utilities and corporate offtakers. Coordinate with TGPNA.
  • Manage and supervise the development of a portfolio of energy storage projects across various markets.
  • Build relationships with external stakeholders (utilities, development partners, advisors, EPC and O&M contractors etc.) and investors (banks, tax equity, insurance companies etc.).
  • Lead due diligence, commercial negotiations and deal structuring for acquisitions and partnership with potential co-developers and investors.
  • Coordinate with the development, execution, and project finance teams.
  • Collaborate with other TotalEnergies’ affiliates to identify and implement new business and technology opportunities.
  • Keep himself/herself fully informed on key market developments and industry news/events in order to quickly identify business opportunities.
  • Contribute to TERUSA’s budget and long-term plan exercises and implementation.
  • Support TERUSA’s growth by contributing to recruitment efforts as well as establishment of TERUSA’s organization and governance.
