NeighborWorks America partners with the Corporation for National and Community Service to sponsor one of the largest AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) programs in the country. Our program fights poverty by building strong and empowered communities. AmeriCorps VISTA provides full-time service members to nonprofit, faith-based, and other community organizations to build that organization’s capacity and create or expand programs that bring low-income individuals and communities out of poverty. The VISTA Leader will work a hybrid schedule reporting to NeighborWorks’ headquarters in downtown Washington D.C. The NeighborWorks America network has been awarded the opportunity to place 30 VISTA members at NeighborWorks organizations across the United States, as well as a VISTA Leader. NeighborWorks America is committed to recruiting highly qualified individuals who can help build organizational capacity by embedding equity and inclusion values into program policies and practices that can better meet the needs of the diverse communities we serve. Start date is flexible!
