CSuite Financial Partners has been engaged by our valued client, an Information Technology Services company to place a Vice President (VP) of Collections for their office located in Miami, Florida.


This pivotal role drives the Collections department's success by fostering a culture of accountability, strategic focus, and continuous improvement. The VP Collections will provide leadership to ensure all collections activities align with business objectives and contribute to the organization's overall financial health.


The VP of Collections will provide strategic oversight and operational efficiency to scale up an international Collections department with offices in the Northeast of the US, Europe and Asia. This role involves managing accounts receivable across all segments for a growing company with over $100M in managed accounts receivables.


Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Setup and Reporting:

  • Develop and implement a system from scratch to track the resolution of collections issues effectively, as the company currently has no existing infrastructure.
  • Develop KPIs best on industry best practice, and design and implement reporting mechanisms to track collection performance against them.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for operational enhancement.
  • Engage both at a high strategic level and be hands-on as needed to ensure the successful setup and operation of the system.
  • Strategic Account Management:
  • Collaborate closely with Director and Manager teams, including cash applications and management of strategic accounts, ensuring high-touch service and resolution of complex issues.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead teams specialized in chasing long-tail accounts, focusing on hiring competent staff.
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance measurement and accountability in collections metrics.
  • Establish SWAT teams to target critical collection issues and optimize processes.
  • Manage a team of 6 direct reports, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

Organizational Optimization:

  • Optimize the Collections organization structure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations and improve overall performance.

Global Oversight:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to regional managers in the US, EMEA, and Asia, ensuring consistent application of collection strategies.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to align global collection efforts and best practices.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Leadership:

  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to align collection strategies with overall operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Sys Admin and Analytics Manager to leverage technology and data for improved collection outcomes.


Experience and Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or other.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise collections.
  • Expertise in managing enterprise collections processes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across billing, sales, and escalations.
  • Strong metrics-driven approach to collections.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be technically strong with collections applications.
  • Proven ability to coach and hire a world-class collections team.
  • Demonstrated history of operational improvements in collections.
