Brahma Consulting Group is a Recruitment firm powered by a mission to deliver personalized, industry-focused recruitment solutions. We are currently assisting our client, a wireless services company, in their search for Signal Processing Engineer (Positioning systems).
The client is seeking a Staff Engineer, Positioning Systems to lead software development on our embedded and cloud-based signal processing platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with internal stakeholders to establish positioning system requirements and architect the system.
Implement state estimation algorithms in radio signal processing software.
Analyze, source, and select sensor solutions for use in the navigation system.
Develop sensor models in simulation for evaluation and then implement integration with the navigation system.
Test navigation software in simulation, hardware-in-loop, and live commercially-operated system.
Simulate hardware and wireless channel impairments of L1/PHY digital modulations
(FSK, PSK, OFDM) to understand system performance, such as I/Q imbalance, clock synchronization, ADC noise, and AGC loop optimization.
Develop test software to support unit, integration, and system testing of all signal processing software functions.
Communicate system requirements to software engineering and hardware teams.
MUST HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
● BS in Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics.
● Understanding of wireless communication systems.
● Mathematical background in statistical signal processing, estimation, and detection.
● Signal processing expertise in Matlab, GNU Octave, and/or Python.
● Working knowledge of Python and/or C/C language.
● Practical command of software development best practices.
● Fluent written and verbal communication in English.
SHOULD HAVE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
● MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Math, or Physics.
● Deep understanding of Bayesian estimation techniques, Nonlinear Kalman filter, Particle filter, probability theory, and fault detection and exclusion (FDE).
● Experience with building and using third-party software libraries and Git version control.
● Industrial experience in building real-time positioning systems.
● Experience with ISM band and cellular communication standards.
● Experience with IMU sensor fusion for improved tracking accuracy.
● Experience with machine learning and AI in python with Tensorflow/Pytorch.
