Description
Our RDC Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the RDC Operations Manager / Director with supervision of RDC staff and operations to achieve service and efficiency goals. Provide leadership, coaching and training to all personnel while promoting TBC’s core values. Assist the RDC Operations Manager / Director to implement best practices at the RDC to include: policies and procedures, people development, inventory management, administrative functions, safety requirements, asset management, and training.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee daily activities of the RDC associates to ensure compliance and completion
Assist in developing a high-performance team, including hiring, training, and performance management, to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the RDC
Provide and analyze reporting as needed
Assist in utilization, protection and management of company assets.
Collaborate in Developing and improving quality by encouraging cross-training and knowledge sharing.
Assist in staffing and recruitment as needed
Meet RDC operational productivity standards including cost per unit
Assist Operations Development (Methods, Training, Staffing)
Assist Operations Manager / Director with Ensuring the RDC is compliant with all Federal and State Laws; Guidelines and Company Policies
Monitor daily Pre-Shift meetings to review task and goals with the team
Assist in the controlling of costs and resources to ensure distribution center achieves financial targets
Assist RDC Operations Manager / Director to optimize and manage all day-to-day operations at the RDC to achieve business plan and increase profitability
Assist RDC Operations Manager / Director with HR related duties including associate coaching and enforcement of TBC policies
Ensure a safe work environment is present at all times and all employees abide by safety guidelines
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures along with all related federal and state laws.
Responsible for inventory integrity
Report OSD to inventory control team
Maintain organization of product in the warehouse
Oversee staff hours
Promote a safe and employee engaging environment
Strong telephone, verbal and written communication skills
Perform any other tasks as defined by RDC Operations Manager / Director
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A 4-year degree in Logistics, Business or other related disciplines is preferred or equivalent experience in a distribution or transportation environment
Management experience including but not limited to leadership and motivational ability, time management and organizational skills, training, coaching and counseling preferred
Experience working in a RF enabled distribution or warehouse environment
Ability to work well under pressure (conflicting priorities, absenteeism etc.) and handle multiple tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong Interpersonal skills
Computer experience including Microsoft Office Suite; Warehouse Management Systems
SAP experience a plus
High level of professional integrity
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights holidays and weekends
24/7 access to cell phone, email and security system in case of an emergency
Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screen
Bilingual language skills in Spanish / English are a plus
