A facility is seeking a psychiatric nurse practitioner for locum tenens coverage.

Typical cases include ADHD, Schizophrenia, Anxiety, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours a week, with the provider able to choose their shifts (10 AM to 6 PM, 8 AM to 4 PM, or 9 AM to 5 PM), offering flexibility for what works best for the provider. Initial evaluations are 1.5 hours face-to-face with new patients, and medication checks average 30 minutes. A psychiatric certification is required for this position. The EMR system is Evolve. Credentialing typically takes about a month, but this depends on whether the provider has had Child Abuse and FBI clearance within the past six months; if cleared within the past six months, credentialing will take 30 days, otherwise, it will take around two months.
