This role is remote reporting to the Texas Health Resources Corporate Offices at 612 E Lamar, Arlington, TX 76011. The role is Exempt (salaried), full-time, 40 hours weekly, and Monday-Friday.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in supply chain management is helpful.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a professional supply chain role is required.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and cross functional leadership skills is strongly preferred.
  • Contracts Management experience a plus.
  • Supply Chain experience in healthcare is highly preferred.
  • Certified Professional Medical Services Management CPMSM - (CPM and/or CMRP) is preferred upon hire.

Skills Needed For Success In This Role

The successful candidate will be able to influence and communicate effectively across multiple cross functional departments and business partners. An exceptional understanding of supply chain management is a must. The successful candidate will have a strong executive presence and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross functional teams and business partners. The ability to manage effectively in a highly dynamic environment with competing priorities is a must for the successful candidate. Excellent MS Office proficiency (especially in Excel & Access), Business Objects, financial analysis, negotiation, and public speaking skills are also needed.

What You’ll Do

Provides systematic development, implementation and coordination of specific project teams related to supplies and/or equipment utilized all across THR entities. Chooses appropriate clinical or other staff from around THR to fairly represent the specific initiative, working closely with them to assure buy in and support from appropriate peer groups. Develops criteria to be utilized for fair and balanced outcomes.

Coordinates and negotiates with hundreds of supply and equipment vendors in the process of supply/equipment standardization/cost reduction. Also interact with the GPO (Premier) staff around contract creation and utilization.

Maintains and manages contracts associated with all assigned projects - aware of critical timelines and due dates of legal agreements. Also, design and manage implementation schedules for all product conversions.

Responsible for the creation and/or management of all data analysis in the building and refining of data used in the decision-making process for the projects managed. Also, develop, monitor and analyze appropriate performance measurement tools to help manage supply costs. Includes building spreadsheets and analysis through THR information and financial systems for presentation and decision making.

Produce and present status reports and financial summaries to all levels of the organization regarding current and future projects. Creates effective relationships with system Materials Managers, system leadership, physicians, and all clinical staff in the daily completion of duties. As well as, assisting in the programs of vendor certification, equipment recalls, and clinical staff education.
