Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Position reports to: Director of Facilities and Maintenance


Summary:


Oversees mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance and repairs to positively impact efficiency, quality, on-time delivery, profitability, and safety.


Job Duties/Responsibilities:



  1. Works with Operators in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and electronics problems on production equipment. Makes repairs to equipment as needed.

  2. Performs and documents equipment upgrades, equipment replacements, and equipment part replacements.

  3. Obtains quotes, provides recommendations, schedules and supervises facility maintenance work conducted by outside vendors. Communicates with Nosco management and the property management group regarding all facility repairs, damages, and modifications.

  4. Plans, directs, and participates in the installation of new equipment.

  5. Orders and maintains spare parts inventory for production equipment and the facility.

  6. Verifies the completion of monthly preventive maintenance programs on all presses as outlined in the cGMP Manual and other related cGMP documents.

  7. Personally adheres to all company safety procedure and regulations, as well as all OSHA guidelines, while performing duties.

  8. Participates in the evaluation of capital expenditures related to manufacturing equipment and facility upkeep.

  9. Responsible for being a life-long learner: Keeping up with technology, learning new skills when and where necessary, advising management on important trends or developments.

  10. Keeps maintenance shop in a clean, orderly and "audit-ready" condition.

  11. Available "on call" for occasional equipment breakdown emergencies.

  12. Performs other duties as requested, including running equipment which they are qualified to run.

Requirements:



  • High school diploma or GED

  • 10 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a Lean/printing environment

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills

  • Technical printing knowledge

  • Computer literacy and strong communication skills

  • Demonstrates maturity and leadership

  • Experience with welding (aluminum a plus) and machining (mill and lathe work)

  • Ability to read schematics and technical drawings, highly beneficial

  • Lean and technical education helpful
