Responsibilities



The Director of Compliance oversees the corporate compliance programs of Imagen Dental Partners LLC, affiliated entities and supported-dental practices (collectively, the “Company”). This leadership position is responsible for general oversight of the Company’s compliance strategy to ensure senior leaders, management, and team members comply with the rules and regulations of all applicable regulatory agencies.



The Director of Compliance, together with the Compliance Committee, is authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program. We anticipate that your time will be spent focused on approximately 50% healthcare-related compliance (including data security and privacy); 25% in the compliance areas of revenue cycle management (RCM), finance and accounting; and 25% in the area of ensuring compliance with current state and federal human resources practices.



Strategy

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive compliance strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals, objectives and values.
  • In response to regulatory changes and external reviews, creates and implements new compliance and privacy policies and procedures that promote compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
  • Reviews all company compliance and privacy-related policies to ensure the Company is meeting requirements with regulatory guidelines in accordance with the needs of the organization.
  • Establishes a reporting system and develops programs that encourage employees to report compliance issues. Conducts thorough investigations as needed and takes appropriate action. Maintains effective lines of communication that allow employees to report compliance concerns without retaliation.



Leadership

  • Leads the day-to-day functions of the corporate compliance and privacy programs so that Company is compliant with federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Exercises independent judgment and demonstrates utmost integrity.
  • Maintains detailed records and reports related to compliance activities, incidents, and resolutions. Reports on a regular basis to the Company’s CEO and to the Compliance Committee on the activities of the compliance program.
  • Oversees the compliance audit and training programs to measure effectiveness and address deficiencies.
  • Supports other departments to review compliance issues under investigation and recommends appropriate resolutions.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, external consultants, and regulatory agencies as necessary to address compliance issues and changes in regulations.
  • Manages all required breach determination and notification processes under HIPAA and applicable state breach rules and requirements.
  • Evaluate and monitor compliance of vendors, suppliers, and partners who provide services to the organization.



Qualifications


  • 10 years’ experience in a healthcare compliance role, ideally with a multi-location organization.
  • Knowledge and experience in healthcare-related compliance, RCM, finance, accounting, human resources and other areas as reasonably required.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Compliance certification required
