Summary

Job Summary

Applies psychotherapeutic and family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of professional services to individuals, couples, and families for the purpose of treating such diagnosed anxiety and other emotional and mental disorders. These services are directly provided to children and families served by the Children’s Harbor Family Center at Children’s Hospital/Children’s Health System. Represents the Center and coordinates with other community agencies involved with the same client population. Serves on the interdisciplinary team representing the clients he/she is serving.

Education

Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, or a related human service field required.

Experience

Two years of post graduate counseling experience required, preferably in a medical setting.

Must be eligible for credentialing at Children's of Alabama.

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

Alabama license/certification in professional specialty (i.e. LPC, CCA, AAMFT, etc.) required.
