Job Goal: The Student-Athlete mentor will serve as an extra support to SHS student-athletes in their academic success and
post-secondary planning.

- Strong project-management and communication skills
- Interest in and willingness to learn about College & Career Readiness processes at SPS
- Experience in and willingness to learn about collegiate athletic recruiting processes
- Meet with a caseload of student-athletes regarding their academic progress at SHS and the academic
- performance needed for their post-secondary plans.
- Assist students in completing the college application process.
- Assist students in completing the athletic recruiting process for collegiate sports including: 1) Registering with the NCAA eligibility center, 2) Communicating with college coaches, 3) Arranging college visits
- Communicate with students’ families, counselors, teachers, and SHS coaches as necessary.
- Yearly Appointment
- 2024-2025 School Year
- 4-8 hours per week, flexible schedule
- Salary: $3,000 - Maximum stipend
