WebSphere Administrator Duties:
- Develop and maintain server and database configurations
- Ensure systems are secure through hardening and patching
- Ensure that systems are running at optimal levels by monitoring performance
- Ensure that backup policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure that disaster recovery policies are in place
- Maintain connectivity for WebSphere and Middleware services
- Implement backup and disaster recovery technologies
- Implement Extended Support for WebSphere
- Ensure that systems are running at optimal levels by monitoring performance
- Ensure that backup policies and procedures are followed
- Ensure that disaster recovery policies are in place
- Maintain connectivity for WebSphere and Middleware services
- Maintain and monitor WebSphere application servers, middleware servers, databases, and applications
- Manage application performance and availability, including capacity planning, capacity tuning, and load testing
- Configure, maintain, and monitor WebSphere application servers, middleware servers, databases, and applications
- Manage operating system and network security, and backup and recovery procedures
- Perform system administration, including routine server maintenance, operating system maintenance, and patch management
- Conduct hardware upgrades, such as purchasing new servers, upgrading memory, and replacing storage devices
- Perform system administration tasks
- Maintain and update test environments to meet business requirements
- Ensure compliance with application, operating system, and data security requirements.
