The role of the Chief of Staff has been given various definitions in the last several years, but at Beeflow, it can be broken down very simply: creatively solve any problem that is thrown your way with a bias toward efficiency and an executive mindset. In return, you will learn firsthand how a rapidly growing company is built, run, and scaled. The Chief of Staff role is constantly changing based on the needs of the company. You will have your hand in almost every part of the business at some point, but most importantly, you will be the right-hand person, a confidant and force multiplier of the CEO, helping to both amplify their efforts and function as a thought partner on a diverse set of challenges. As the CoS, you will regularly need to switch between the strategic and the tactical, and make connections between the two.

This role is based in Buenos Aires but implies a heavy travelling schedule to visit operations in Peru and the US and to meet investors, wherever they might be.

What You'll Do

Things at Beeflow are constantly changing, so the role you start in will very likely feel different from the role you end in. Here are some areas you'll be heavily involved in:

  • Fundraising: assist the CEO through fundraising processes. This includes: building a database of best VCs to partner with, tracking conversations and keeping them updated on our management system, building fundraising materials (decks, data room, etc) and representing the CEO in internal and external conversations
  • Investors relations: assist the CEO through the management of Beeflow's board, creating materials for board meetings, attending meetings with board members, building update reports to investors and managing relationships with them on behalf of the CEO
  • Strategic planning: working alongside the CEO and the Leadership team throughout our planning cycles every quarter. Helping guarantee timelines are followed and the organization operates on track with crop & financial calendars as well as quarterly based OKRs
  • Goal setting / organization: help the CEO manage annual and quarterly OKRs with each department. Run planning meetings with the Leadership team and track progress of goals and learnings. Track key strategic actions, drive them to closure; manage the process of tracking and communicating performance against objectives
  • Coordinating operating cadence of Leadership Team: attend weekly Leadership team L10 meetings, monthly OKRs deep dive meetings and quarterly in-person retreats. Help the CEO manage meetings agendas with the aim to build the best high performance Leadership team.
  • Recommending, leading, and/or implementing process improvement initiatives: track closely every department quarter OKRs, seek for cross-pollination opportunities between teams and opportunities to improve every team's performance
  • Internal/External communications: help the CEO manage his agenda and prioritize work. Lead initiatives that help improve internal communication between departments and assist the CEO with internal communications (organize All-Hands agenda and build materials, track action items from CEO meetings, etc). Occasionally representing Beeflow externally, whether that means visiting customers or speaking with the media. Serve as the key interface to the CEO's office for external groups (i.e. customers and partners) as well as internal team members
  • Leading special projects: manage strategic initiatives that include launching into new markets, developing new products, technologies and business models, and analyzing joint ventures and M&A opportunities. Managing and coordinating highly cross functional initiatives
  • Empower the CEO: prepare the CEO for high consequence external and internal meetings. Be a strategic advisor and confidant of the CEO, helping to both amplify their efforts throughout the company and function as a thought partner on a diverse set of challenges. You will have your hand in almost every part of the business. Facilitate and manage the process of identifying, prioritizing, chartering, communicating, and managing key projects pertaining to our CEO. You will support him in his day to day activities (presentations to customers, executives and other external audiences, preparation for critical meetings and business reviews). The CoS will meet the CEO multiple times per week to coordinate his agenda and distribute responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in areas such as business administration, economics, finance, industrial engineering or logistics. Master's degree is a plus
  • Consulting experience, with a focus on operations management
  • Experience working in a startup is highly desirable
  • Experience working with VCs and investement is a plus
  • Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in english and spanish
  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
  • Experience in data analysis and budget management
  • Proven success in a project coordination role
  • Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
  • Readiness to travel internationally around 50% of your time

  • Expert Project Manager: A core piece of the role will require you to track and synthesize multiple work streams across various teams in a way that amplifies the CEO's impact. Can see the forest and the trees: The CoS role is both strategic and tactical, and you will need to deftly switch between these two mindsets often
