Summary:

This role is the Channel Executive for our Independent Channel, managing our Independent Broker-Dealer partners in partnership with our IMO strategic partners (independent marketing organization). The Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales opportunities as a trusted advisor and ambassador to their assigned channel firms. This role will report to the Channel Executive and is expected to build and maintain solid relationships across all the various departments and teams in the organization in order to meet their set targets and develop a sustainable partner strategy and plan that is aligned with the priorities and initiatives of GAFG Individual Markets. A solid business development mindset along with possessing entrepreneurial skills is required.

This individual will lead responsibilities such as: IBD strategy, product strategy, product launch and product changes and effectively communicate product benefits and competitive advantages to our external partners, coordinate and participate in firm events, lead efforts for certain regional and national meetings of our IMO partners and industry events, communications to firms regarding product and organizational announcements, and be a channel contact for our RVP's as it relates to the RVP distribution strategy. Significant travel is required for the position.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Manage assigned tier 1 or 2 partner relationships and activities including participation in firm events, coordinate approval and launch of products with firms, communications to firms regarding any product or organizational announcements, and compliance with GAFG Individual Markets requirements
  • Position GAFG Retirement and Life Insurance Strategies and articulate our product benefits to partner executives, management, and partner sales personnel
  • Understand competitive landscape within assigned firms and position/contrast GAFG's products to drive awareness
  • Obtain a deep knowledge of assigned firm platform tools and technology in order to educate our sales teams as a competitive advantage
  • Develop excellent relationships with firm partners and GAFG Sales Team to obtain leads and undertake joint marketing and sales activities
  • Drive sustainable partner growth and profitability by ensuring that GAFG's strategies, products, and services are critical to the partner's overall business objectives and success
  • Collaborate with other members of the Strategic Partner Group Team to achieve strategic objectives for firm acquisition, field engagement and communication, and firm intelligence and analytics
  • Engage Sales and Marketing Teams to drive partner growth in GAFG strategic areas around Fixed Annuities, Fixed-Indexed Annuities, LTC-Hybrid Annuities, SPIA/DIA Annuities, and Variable Annuities
  • Sell & promote internally the firm partner's capacity and capabilities
  • Act as a resource with direct knowledge to GAFG strengths and capabilities, regulatory requirements and requests, and Partner Strategic Objectives/Business Plans
  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding firm sales activities and information, market share analysis, opportunity identification, and competitive impacts to Channel Executive
  • Understand how our products are being positioned in the field and articulate the positioning to our partners
  • Understand the profitability of our products and strategies
  • Assist on IMO sales reporting on a consistent basis
  • Act as a conduit to marketing and sales support in implementing and reporting of sales campaigns
  • Measurement of campaigns and general effectiveness. Develop, analyze and deliver campaign results
  • Track our market share with our top firms and identify opportunities to increase our visibility
  • Notify Channel Executive and Competitive Intel of key shifts in market share, rates, and business mix with our partner firms
  • Be a team player, sharing ideas and feedback to deliver business building ideas to take advantage of firm opportunities

Qualifications

  • College degree strongly preferred
  • 10 years of experience in business development and relationships management desired
  • Series 7 and Life/Health license required
  • Experience working with annuity products required
  • Very strong presentation skills both formal and informal is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
  • Must be self-motivated, a strong team player, and able to travel more than 50%
  • Broad-based technological awareness
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management skills
  • Desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Commitment to customer service and willingness to adapt as necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Compensation: This role has a base salary and VIC bonus component. First year total compensation target range is $250,000 – $350,000.

  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.

Global Atlantic's base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic's total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.

The base salary range for this role is

$97,500—$185,500 USD

Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
