The Servicing Transfer Coordinator is responsible for Bulk and Flow Mortgage Servicing Loan transfers from various Mortgage Banking Institutions. Assist with the oversight of the daily operations of the mortgage servicing transfers which must be completed in compliance with RESPA, Investor Guidelines, CFPB and applicable law. This position requires a high level of coordination with our sub-servicers and key internal business partners.
The Servicing Transfer Coordinator will perform multiple functions within the loan servicing platform. Areas of focus include newly acquired loan boarding. Performance of all duties must be in accordance with Fay policies and procedures and all state and federal regulations.
What you will do for Fay:
Coordinate delivery, set up and research of servicing transfers and acquisitions of loan portfolios
Analyze practices and procedures of servicers to ensure a smooth transfer process
Reconcile funding schedule to servicing transfer reports from sellers and/or investors
Primary point of contact for Fay business units, servicers and vendors
Researches and resolves variances in loan documentation prior to and after loan boarding
Process post-funding adjustments on discrepancies between purchase advice and servicer data
Produces moderately complex internal communications to each business unit to inform of current servicing transfers
Works directly with target audiences and subject matter experts to determine needs, establish tasks and milestones, and acquire relevant information to produce and deliver communication, policies, and procedures
Ensures regulatory guidelines are met
Coordinate pre and post-transfer activities between Sellers, FAY, and Sub Servicers
Facilitate conference calls pre and post transfer
Update and maintain key transfer documents to include but not limited to, project plan, servicing questionnaire, transfer instructions and Process and Procedures
Monitor transfer tasks closely to ensure all timelines are met and update the task tracker accordingly
Assist with Pre-Post transfer reconciliations
Tracking Mortgage Documents as it relates to contractual holdbacks
Prepare and distribute executive summaries to internal partners on key attributes relative to Transfer
Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
Provide recommendations to management on process improvement opportunities within the department and outside where applicable
What you will bring to Fay:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate selection criteria experience; High school diploma/GED required
A minimum of 3 years mortgage servicing experience
Management experience is a plus
Extensive project management and governance experience with the proven ability to develop project plans and drive a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve milestones and deadlines
Familiarity with LPS software a plus
Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to write clearly, concisely, and logically
Very strong organizational, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills
Process improvement planning and implementation skills
Strong knowledge of Federal and state laws applicable to mortgage servicing, including licensing
Research skills and technical understanding of loan servicing Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
Ability to set goals and meet deadlines
