Safety Manager

Job Description

FDRsafety is seeking a Safety Manager for a large construction client near Elkhart, IN. This is a full-time permanent opportunity that will offer a generous base salary, a lucrative benefits package and bonus incentive, and substantial opportunities for growth. This position will be responsible for overseeing multiple sites in the region (Approximately 75% travel) and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Promote safety integrity throughout the entire company.
• Monitor safety compliance.
• Plans, implements and conducts preventative care, safety, and compliance training programs.
• High level of communication with job site managers, and local, federal, and state agencies such as MSHA, OSHA, and DOT.
• Capable of preparing, tailoring, and presenting training topics to large groups to the level and experience of the audience.
• Administer, monitor, and ensure the completeness and accuracy of accident reports and investigations.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain safety statistics and injury and illness records.
• Facilitate MSHA, OSHA, and DOT safety training.
• Conduct job site inspections.
• Train new and existing Safety Superintendents
• Write Toolbox Talks
• Can interpret and adopt new Federal/ State regulations
• Accident and incident investigations
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management preferred with 10-12 years of experience
• BCSP Certification is strongly preferred
• Overnight travel and flexibility to travel with little to no notice is required
• Experience in OSHA Construction (1926) compliance preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office essential
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Self-motivated; ability to work independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
