Process Engineering Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Includes the following but not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing engineering support to ensure smooth product flow through the manufacturing process.
  • Provide guidance to manufacturing on discrepant material.
  • Train manufacturing on new tool development.
  • Responsible for analysis of discrepant material (DWRs) and providing feedback to manager for continual improvement.
  • Responsible for keeping FMEA (Failure modes and effects analysis) up to date with the QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Assist management with internal investigations, customer concerns, customer corrective actions, and internal specification review clarifications.
  • Generate internal specification reviews with the ability to update WIP (Work in Progress) and maintain document control.
  • Provide backup for Post-Epi C of C’s (Certificate of Conformance).
  • Support and provide back-up assistance to the Quality Technicians, as required.
  • Provide guidance in trouble shooting technical problems to get production back online with minimal impact. Provide 1st line investigation of technical problems and gather facts pertaining to the problem. Present problems in detail to management as they arise.
  • Provide assistance to Engineering as needed
  • Provide assistance to the manager with communicating direction and decision making to the shift personnel. Facilitate inter-shift communication to provide feedback on problems and accomplishments.
  • Develop manufacturing tools as needed to assist with quality improvement and streamlining systems and procedures. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and over-all quality of product.
  • Follow-up on priorities and assist the team in getting the necessary supplies or material to carry out the tasks specific to its duties.
  • Other duties as assigned



Education

Associate degree, two year technical/trade degree, or equivalent preferrable with a chemistry background.

Work Schedule

2nd Shift - 4 x 10 hrs.

Experience

Five years of experience

Proficient in MS Office

Strong data mining and analytical skills

Strong communication skills

High attention to detail
