SUMMARY:
This position performs payroll related duties in the following areas: weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll processing, new hires and employee status changes, and terminations. Responsible for data integrity of HRIS; sole source for data input and security management. The Company is transitioning from ADP Workforce to UKG.
POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Utilize ADP Workforce Now and Spectrum Systems for processing payroll.
- Payroll transactions include management of earning codes (i.e., commissions, rig pay, truck pay, per diem, bonuses, etc.), deductions, one-time payroll transactions, adjustments, including ADP Smart Compliance for tax filings.
- Respond to and setup Tax Levies, Garnishments, and Child Support Court Orders.
- Respond to Federal and State payroll notices; assist in the preparation of audit request.
- Setup of State Tax Entities for SUI via ADP and manage multi-state setup for tax withholdings for employees based on their individual state of residence.
- Manage Data Integrity of HR Systems (ADP) and manage Security Access of HR Systems (ADP).
- Manage the time and attendance systems against policies; point of contact with employees and management; maintain employee vacation and sick balances and reset annual accruals.
- Prepare documentation (PANs) and enter New Hires and Employee status changes in HR systems (ADP and Spectrum) and maintain current employee records.
- Manage Year-End Payrolls and issue and manage Annual W-2’s
SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Business Systems i.e., ADP and MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and demonstrate math skills.
- Knowledge of State and Federal legislation impacting employment practices including DOL Wage & Hour, EEO, etc.
- Prior experience with HRIS (ADP WFN and Spectrum preferred).
- Professional certification in HR and /or CPP preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field or equivalent related work experience.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Five years of Payroll and HR or business-related experience including managing a time and attendance system (Preferably using ADP WFN and Spectrum System).
- Five years Human Resource experience preferred in a manufacturing /pipeline / construction /energy services industry environment.
