Housing Program Coordinator

Job Overview:


The Housing Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the PA State Rebate funded transitional housing program for people with HIV, including the development and administration of protocols and procedures related of this program. This employee will also provide technical assistance, training, program oversight and perform other key activities as needed. This employee will work closely with DHH’s Program Services Unit and funded DHH medical case management (MCM) and housing programs, the Division of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) and the Office of Homeless Services (OHS) in Philadelphia, PA.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide programmatic oversight of the transitional housing program.
  • Work closely with DHCD staff in the implementation and administration of the program.
  • Review DHCD reports and other required submissions.
  • Work closely with OHS in relation to the Housing Opportunities for Persons living With AIDS (HOPWA) waitlist.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures for the program.
  • Work closely with the Program Services Unit to ensure that funded providers are in compliance with their contract and are meeting the program’s requirements.
  • Develop the project budget.
  • Review invoices and expenditures as appropriate.
  • Host monthly conference calls with DHCD, pertinent staff at AACO and the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of HIV/AIDS.
  • Prepare and submit all required reports to the designated Project Officer at the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Division of HIV/AIDS.
  • Manage daily program activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to MCM funded providers as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding the transitional housing program.
  • Perform special duties as may be assigned according to program needs.


Skills:


  • String communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to think logically and independently
  • Strong computer skill, including demonstrated use of WORD and Excel
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team


Experience:


  • Experience in project management and evaluation
  • At least one years’ experience managing a housing program
  • Familiarity with the Ryan White HV/AIDS Program preferred


Education Requirement:


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
