Fund Accounting Manager

Our client is a global investment management firm. They seek a Fund Accounting Manager to join their Los Angeles, CA office. This opportunity offers a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Manage the books and records of pooled private investment funds
• Prepare and review complex management fee and waterfall calculations
• Reconcile cash, investments, and other balance sheet accounts
• Record purchase and sale transactions and handle complex corporate actions
• Calculate allocations of income and expense allocations to each partner
• Determine and prepare distributions and drawdowns
• Draft and disseminate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Analyze performance metrics for partnerships/accounts and each investment
• Work with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators
• Complete other tasks and projects as required

Requirements

• 5 years of accounting experience
• Combo with Big 4 accounting background
• Private equity/hedge fund industry background
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPA strongly preferred
