Associate, Digital Marketing

As our Associate, Digital Marketing, you will be a part of MassBio’s marketing team helping to raise awareness of MassBio’s programming in the life sciences industry, as well as helping to serve our membership community. Your work will be highly visible and have a direct impact on our strategic goals. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will gain experience in marketing automation, digital project management, and content development & design.

Key Responsibilities Include:


Drive email marketing for the organization:

  • Draft, edit, and send weekly and monthly newsletters to MassBio’s members
  • Draft, edit, and send event emails and other member e-communications
  • Build segments and maintain clean email lists via CRM database management
  • Partner with Senior Marketing Manager to implement marketing automation program


Build and manage massbio.org webpages and event listings:

  • Maintain content on the member dashboard, homepage, and other digital assets to ensure they are relevant and accurate
  • Build, review, and coordinate event webpages in the CRM and work with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy
  • Support the website by providing content and maintaining functionality, as needed
  • Maintain and update MassBio’s video platforms, MB Vision and Vimeo, by uploading, G4 tagging, organizing, and maintaining the video content on view and in the video library/archive


Provide digital project management support:

  • Serve as point-of-contact for members with questions about their member page, account creation questions, Career Center, and other website-related issues
  • Assist with maintaining project tasks in ClickUp, the organization’s project management tool
  • Monitor and maintain the communications email account


Write and design digital assets:

  • Provide support for social media, sponsorship logos, email banner ads, and other needs, as assigned
  • Create and maintain toolkits to support membership engagement and participation


Additional Duties:

  • Monitor media coverage and provide a weekly summary of important news shared with MassBio staff


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, English, journalism, communications or similar field
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  •  Knowledge of databases / CRM, like MS Dynamics
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems like WordPress
  • Working knowledge of HTML and Adobe Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage projects from idea to execution
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop trusted cross-functional relationships to produce results
  • Curious, able to act entrepreneurially in an established organization, and find creative ways to get things done
