Pharma-Partners is exclusively partnering with a start-up pharma company looking to hire its first permanent UK Medical Director. As the Medical Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the companies medical strategy and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will lead the medical affairs activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of strategies and processes This position reports directly to UK Country Lead and would be heavily involved with business strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the medical strategy aligned with the company vision
• Provide medical leadership and guidance to internal teams
• Serve as the medical expert for all medical related queries
• Engage in scientific exchange with external experts and key opinion leaders
• Work closely with commercial, marketing, and market access teams
• Act as ABPI final signatory
• Support market access initiatives and pricing strategies
• Ensure compliance with UK-specific PV regulations
• Monitor and report adverse events (Individual Case Safety Reports – ICSRs) to relevant health authorities.
• Implement risk minimization strategies (aRMM) as needed
• Prepare and submit aggregate reports (e.g., Periodic Safety Update Reports – PSURs) and risk management plans (RMPs) to local authorities.
• Collaborate with global PV teams for timely submissions.
  
  

The Candidate:

• Medical or Pharmacy Degree (MD or MPharm or equivalent)
• Significant experience in senior medical roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• ABPI final signatory is a must
• Experience having worked in pharmacovigilance at a UK level, ideally acting as Local Safety Officer
• Experience working in the field of sleep disorders, CNS, Psychiatry would be an advantage
