The IT Integration Engineer will work closely with a team of IT engineers to oversee infrastructure projects and support M&A activities, ensuring efficient integration and optimization. This will be a 12 month contract initially. Responsibilities include planning, designing, building, maintaining, and supporting technical systems with a focus on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. The role involves reverse engineering existing environments, managing migrations, and seamlessly integrating them into the client's infrastructure. Additionally, the IT Integration Engineer will provide advanced support for escalated Level 3 incidents, ensuring robust and secure infrastructure. Strong project management skills and technical expertise are essential to drive successful transitions and integrations, enhancing overall performance and efficiency.

The IT Integration Engineer will develop and implement ETL processes to support data integration and migration activities. They will plan, design, and implement robust and scalable technical systems that meet current and future business needs, ensuring detailed documentation. Leading and managing infrastructure projects from inception to completion, they will ensure timely delivery within scope and budget. The role includes overseeing M&A activities, including reverse engineering, migration, and integration of existing environments into the client's infrastructure. The engineer will leverage Azure Integration Services, which brings together API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid as a reliable and scalable platform for integrating on-premises and cloud-based applications, data, and processes across the enterprise. The IT Integration Engineer will provide advanced support for escalated Level 3 incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

The IT Integration Engineer will develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect the client's data and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. They will work with senior IT management to follow global standards according to ISO27001 and ITLv4. Managing the IT budget to ensure cost-effective resource use and alignment with strategic priorities is essential. Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess IT operations' effectiveness, driving real-time monitoring projects, and providing regular reports to senior management on project progress, system performance, and strategic initiatives are key responsibilities. Continuous improvement, staying current with industry trends, and evolving the IT strategy are vital.

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in IT, with ideally some understanding or experience in a M&A environment. Experience in enterprise finance and/or banking is preferred, along with experience managing remote teams across different regions and time zones. A proven track record in building and maintaining high-performance, secure IT systems is essential. Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and CISSP, and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field are required.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and managing ETL processes, with strong skills in data integration, migration, and transformation. They should have in-depth knowledge of data warehousing, database management, and SQL, and familiarity with ETL tools and platforms. Expertise with IT service desk solutions (preferably Manage Engine ServiceDesk Plus), Citrix or similar technologies (VMware Horizon), and Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration and configuration is essential. Experience with mobile device management systems (such as Intune, MobileIron), backup software (preferably Commvault), printer management, and monitoring systems (such as PTRG) is required. Candidates should also have proven skills with Active Directory, remote support assistance, email management systems, databases (Microsoft SQL), cybersecurity frameworks, storage systems (SAN or NAS), hosting troubleshooting, and network architecture (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN). Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and secure access controls is also required.

The role also requires expertise in Azure Integration Services, which brings together API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid as a reliable and scalable platform for integrating on-premises and cloud-based applications, data, and processes across the enterprise.

Our client offers a superb outside IR35 rate. The client is open to location; however, you will be managing all sites. This is fully remote role, with one day in the office per month.
