Family Support Worker

I am currently recruiting a Family Support Worker to join a fantastic Family Assessment Centre in Hendon, Barnett. The role is to work directly with complex families where there are safeguarding concerns and there may be a real risk of them otherwise into care. Successful candidates will work alongside the Social Workers and families to coach parents to improve their parenting abilities and support children primarily aged under 5 to reach their full potential.

Role: Family Support Worker

Location: Hendon, Barnett

Hours: Permanent - 40 hours per week / 3 x 10 hour shifts

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 (dependent on experience)

Rota: 3 Shifts one week , 4 the next 7.30am-8pm (may include weekends)

The Successful Candidate

• Can encourage families to deal with any day-to-day issues they might such as financial problems, family issues or issues with school attendance.
• Are empathetic when dealing with complex families and children.
• Can work with families to ensure that children do well in school and have their care needs fully met.
• Can work with a range of professionals to improve outcomes for children and families.
  
  

Requirements;

• Have the ability to support people with basic parenting and life skills
• Can encourage families to deal with day-to-day issues related to raising children
• Ability to work with a range of professionals to help work towards a positive outcome
• Candidates who have experience working with children in an education or nursery setting or a similar family support setting are desirable.
