My client is a leading global provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for commercial and military aviation aircrafts. They’re seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to set strategic goals, establish operational policies, and oversee all activities within the Engineering Department.

This role will drive strategic planning for all Engineering and New Product Development activities. You'll lead a team to achieve KPIs and growth plans, manage budgets and capital projects, and ensure top-tier product integrity and safety. This role entails collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Quality to consistently meet business targets and compliance standards.

Leading the organisation

• Provide dynamic leadership to the engineering team across sites.
• Drive strategic technology initiatives and investments.

Innovation Strategy

• Identify market trends and competitive positioning in relevant sectors.
• Create a technology roadmap outlining current and future product developments.
• Collaborate with Operations and Sales leaders to define customer needs and preferences.

New Product Innovation and Launch

• Manage the New Product Introduction process to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with NPI process guidelines, taking ownership of all programs from phase initiation through production transition.
• Develop and maintain process definitions, specifications, and standards to uphold quality and efficiency throughout the NPI lifecycle.

Client Relations and Sales Support

• Prepare technical documentation and product costing details for commercial inquiries.
• Deliver customer presentations and technology roadmap materials.
