About the Company
This organization is a global leader that supplies and manufactures high quality engineered capital equipment to the steel industry. They have a global presence with most of their business in Europe, North and South America. As part of their growth trajectory and their digital transformation journey, they are looking for a strategic Head of IT to lead their technology transformation globally. The ideal profile will be a business partner with experience working in industrial organizations and have solid IT transformation and project experience.
Based in Singapore this role will lead the IT function and report to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
To assemble a strong digital structure, making it better, robust, high-speed, efficient, effective, and precise to its operations.
Develop, procure, and manage digital platforms and programs to improve the company’s customer experience
Develop and disseminate technology for customers and vendors to help improve and increase business.
Management, implementation and usability of information and computer technologies.
Develop/procure and use technology to improve the company's procedures and operations.
Analyze how various technologies benefit the company and improve existing business processes, then incorporate to improve business.
Construct technological practices, manage 3rd party providers, and develop the IT team and its practices.
The Candidate Experience and Professional Qualifications
At least 15 years of experience in the field of Information Technology. Skills and Competencies Skills and competencies required for the role.
Degree in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science related fields; Master’s degree/MBA is an advantage.
An entrepreneur mindset and builder within the data vertical.
Passionate about using data as a business enabler for growth, expansion, planning and strategy.
A proven years of experience in people management is preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
