DB2 DBA Role and Responsibilities: Day to day Database administration and Production Support Manage and maintain DB2 Purescale servers Install and implement DB2 LUW, DB2 tools, Patches as required Perform Storage Space management, Database Security Administration, Maintain Configuration details Administer, monitor, troubleshoot application server configuration and performance Configuration and troubleshooting of DB2 HADR, Power HA servers & Purescale Timely security patching and applying support fixes as required. Role management and User administration and Space administration on DB servers Experience on following IBM DB2 Utilities, Commands UNLOAD, RELOAD, COPY, RECOVER, REORG & RUNSTATS Minimum 2 years in IBM DB2, DB2 HADR, DB2 Tools install, configure, and upgrade Demonstrated experience in handling day to day Operation, Alert, Incident support, Migration, and break fix support DB2 Architecture knowledge (Environment Variables, db and dbm configuration files, tablespaces, buffer pools etc.,) Knowledge on SQL language (insert/update/delete/query) understand how to create/drop and update objects into db2 Experience in db2 migrations from one server to another (AIX to AIX or AIX to Linux) Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs Installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching and monitoring of DB2 Database servers
