We are looking to expand our team with a Process Engineer for industrial plants, with experience in the biotechnology, food, and/or chemical sectors, for our offices in 📍Barcelona.
You will maintain contact with suppliers, participate in risk analysis, create process diagrams (P&IDs), and make design decisions in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries.

What will you do?
Define the project design bases.
Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Perform mass and energy balances, and calculate auxiliary service consumptions.
Describe the process.
Conduct simulations.
Prepare equipment lists.
Create lists of lines, manual valves, and accessories.
Calculate and specify equipment (static, rotating, heat exchange).
Generate DPI (process data for instruments) including elements requiring calculations (control valves, safety valves, orifice plates, rupture disks, etc.).
Draft functional descriptions and operation manuals.
Transfer and request necessary information to and from other disciplines.
Lead technical interactions with the client related to your specialty.
Identify and communicate improvement points to your supervisor regarding technical, organizational, and human resource aspects.
What are we looking for?
Experience in project development in the biotechnology and/or food sectors.
Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
Advanced level in English and Spanish.
Proficiency in MS Office. Advanced level in MS Excel.
Proficiency in process simulation (ASPEN HYSYS, ASPEN PLUS).
Proficiency in thermal design of heat exchangers (EDR, HTRI).
